Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It comes with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform which is designed to raise staff is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
