Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed so as to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is gently rounded and extremely comfortable. This particular area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential info, in order to keep the operator working as efficiently as possible.
Due to the insulated mounting to the chassis, vibration levels and overall noise levels are kept low. The controller's seat and the hydraulic controls are all independently adjustable that allows you to maintain an optimum working position. In addition, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 simple to operate, ergonomically positioned multi-functioned levers which are provided for the horn, window washers, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
To ensure a comfortable cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit supplies incoming air that is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machinery has a robust 3-speed fan for cooling, heating, defrosting and recirculation. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
In the Spirit Delta, the instrument panel has logically grouped units that are all within easy reach. Standard instrumentation includes: warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. In addition, gauges display values for engine coolant, gearbox oil pressure, operating time and fuel quantity.
Amongst the important options the 8 to 10 tonne trucks could be outfitted with is the ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring. This allows for easy supervision of the model. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any faults which take place and their current values.
