Used Clark Propane Forklift Everett

Power
Numerous forklifts are designed to run on propane gas. Forklifts that use propane are very simple to refill. The gas is stored inside a pressurized tank on the rear of the truck. The propane is pushed into the engine, where it is converted into vapor and the vapor mixes with air. The throttle of the forklift is utilized to control the flow of vapor. A spark plug ignites the mixture of air and vapor producing pressure which makes the pistons move. The pistons turn the wheels and power the hydraulic pump.

Since the types of forklifts which are operated by propane are clean burning and have low emissions, they are suitable to be used inside other buildings and warehouses.

Hydraulics
The hydraulic system of the forklift is what allows it to raise and move very heavy stuff from location to location. Tubes, cylinders and a pump make up the hydraulic system. The pump forces dense fluid through the tubing and into the cylinders. The build up of pressure pushes a piston, which raises the forks. When the forks are lowered by the operator, the hydraulic fluid flows out of the cylinders and back into the pump.

Steering
Propane forklifts work well where maneuverability is necessary. Not like a car, a forklift utilizes its back wheels to turn, that allows the forklift to rapidly turn on a tight radius.
