Most accidents are attributed to staff who are not properly trained. Employers are responsible for making sure that all staff who are utilizing the forklift are properly trained in safety and risks. Never let anyone on a forklift who isn't trained to use the forklift. Your business should develop and post in a visible place all forklift safety measures.
Workers must have a positive attitude when they go through training, rather than doing it just because they are required to. You as the employer should help employees know the significance of correct training. Let them realize that they could injure or kill not just themselves, but other individuals, if they make mistakes. It is up to you to ensure that all your workers undertake training seriously.
